Total Fitness Specialists

The following employees of Total Fitness Specialists recently attended workshops or earned certifications.

- Tina McNulty, owner and director of Total Fitness Specialists, recently attended a workshop titled "Evaluation, Rehabilitation and Performance Enhancement of Runners." Course topics included "Assessing the Running Gait and Biomechanical Faults," "Understanding the Factors That Affect Running Efficiency and Performance" and "Designing Rehabilitation Programs and Coaching Strategies to Prevent Injuries and Develop and Enhance Running Mechanics and Performance."

- Kelly Rulle recently attended the Cancer Project's Cancer and Nutrition Symposium in Bethesda, Md. Topics included "Nutrition Controversies," "Women's Healthy Eating and Lifestyle Study" and "Preventive Medicine Research Institute Prostate Cancer Lifestyle Trial."

- Erin Fleming recently completed certifications as a nutrition and wellness consultant and post-rehabilitation exercise specialist through American Fitness Professionals and Associates.

- Dustin Dyer recently completed his practical and written requirements to become a certified personal trainer through American Fitness Professionals and Associates.




Maryland Correctional Training Center

Lavonne McCullough, Doris Monn, Sheila Stahl and Teresa Hykes, employees of the mailroom at the Maryland Correctional Training Center, have been named Employees of the Month for October.

The mailroom staff has intercepted mail on several occasions that has contained contraband to include CDS. The staff also has worked closely with the investigative and intelligence units on several occasions with successful results.

McCullough has been employed by MCTC since November 1982, Stahl has been employed there since November 1989, Monn has been employed there since February 1991 and Hykes has been employed there since April 2005.




Roxbury Correctional Institution

Sgt. Robert Bingaman has been named Employee of the Month at Roxbury Correctional Institution.

Bingaman recently prevented the introduction of a significant amount of contraband into the facility. His efforts have contributed to a safer environment for staff and inmates.

Bingaman has been employed by the State of Maryland since 1991.




Brook Lane Health Services

Michelle Barnhart, LCSW-C, was named Employee of the Month for September at Brook Lane Health Services.

Barnhart, who is a therapist at the hospital, has been employed by Brook Lane since 1991.




Julia Manor

Angela Wolfkill, GNA, was named Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter at Julia Manor.

Wolfkill has been employed by Julia Manor since 2001, beginning her career as a cook.

Wolfkill is a graduate of Hagerstown Community College and received her nursing assistant certificate in May 2007.
