Hagerstown man charged in Williamsport burglary

A Hagerstown man was charged in connection with a May burglary on Honeyfield Road in Williamsport, according to Washington County District Court documents.

Jeremy Jackson Allen, 22, was charged with first-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit theft under $500, theft of more than $500 and conspiracy to commit theft under $100, according to court documents.

Eighteen firearms and several pieces of jewelry were taken in the burglary, Investigator Greg Alton wrote in charging documents. The property was worth about $10,000.

Allen was charged after investigators interviewed a friend of his, who said she pawned some of the jewelry at Allen's request, according to documents.

Allen was being held Thursday night at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $200,000 bond.
