The car of a missing Pennsylvania woman was found Tuesday outside Hagerstown, the Washington County Sheriff's Department said Wednesday.

A 2002 black Honda Accord belonging to Michelle McMullen, 27, of Harrisburg, Pa., was found in front of Volvo Powertrain's Pennsylvania Avenue entrance at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

"We checked the tag, and saw it was a missing person out of Pennsylvania," Washington County Sheriff's Department Sgt. James Grimm said.

Grimm said detectives from Harrisburg were in Hagerstown on Wednesday reviewing the contents of the car.

In a release, Harrisburg Mayor Stephen R. Reed said no signs of foul play were found at the scene.

Grimm said the Sheriff's Department is treating the matter as a missing person.

The car was sent back to Harrisburg for forensic processing, Reed's release states.

McMullen has reportedly been missing since Sept. 28, when she left Harrisburg to return to Grambling University in Louisiana, according to Reed's release.
