Grace Church plans meal deals

Grace United Methodist Church, at 712 Church St. in Hagerstown, is offering two chances to buy meals.

On Saturday, Oct. 11, the church will be selling roast beef sandwiches, vegetable soup and homemade apple dumplings for carry-out only.

Sandwiches cost $3 each; soup costs $2.50 per bowl or $4 per quart; and apple dumplings cost $3 each.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, the church will hold a slippery pot pie dinner at the church.

No carry-out orders will be available.

The menu will include chicken or ham pot pie, peas or applesauce, roll, coffee or tea and dessert.

The dinner costs $8.50 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger (hot dogs instead of pot pie will be available for children upon request,)


Country ham sandwiches will also be available for $3 each.

Tickets can be purchased in advance (recommended) by calling Murray at 301-797-6567 or the church office. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

Roy Rogers to help church with family night

First Baptist Church of Sharpsburg, in conjunction with Roy Rogers, will host a family night at the 1719 Massey Blvd. Roy Rogers Restaurant in Hagerstown, Oct. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for First Baptist Church of Sharpsburg. Roy Rogers will donate 25 percent of the proceeds generated to the church. The donation is based on the number of guests that come into the restaurant to support First Baptist Church the night of the fundraiser.
