Incidents reported to Washington County Sheriff's Department

The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded recently to the following incidents, according to Lt. Mark Knight:

Friday:

o At 3:50 p.m., theft was reported at Antietam Tractor on Leitersburg Pike. A garden tractor was taken.

Saturday:

o At 11:39 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the area of Poplar Street. A vehicle was keyed overnight.

o At 8:30 p.m., breaking and entering was reported in the 16700 block of Taylors Landing Road. Someone broke into an abandoned house.

Sunday:

o At 12:07 p.m., theft was reported in the 18800 block of Preston Road. Keys to a vehicle and money was taken.

o At 7:09 p.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 21600 block of Leitersburg Smithsburg Road. Someone damaged the front door of a home.

o At 8:21 p.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 18600 block of Northhaven Street. A Maryland tag number 5948L1 was taken.

Monday:

o At 7:58 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 900 block of Security Road. A vehicle was scratched overnight.

o At 8:51 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 10700 block of Downsville Pike. Someone damaged a windshield overnight.

o At 12:11 p.m., theft was reported in the 13900 block of Maugansville Road. A white lion was taken from a driveway.

o At 2:46 p.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 11200 block of Pepperbush Circle. An expiration sticker was taken from a tag.

o At 4:45 p.m., breaking and entering was reported in the 100 block of Antietam Street. Someone damaged a door and took a computer.

o At 5:31 p.m., theft was reported at the AC&T on Hopewell Road. A 55-gallon drum of whitewall cleaner was taken.

o At 5:54 p.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported at Smithsburg High School. A rear Maryland tag number 5DWJ95 was taken.

o At 7:26 p.m., theft was reported in the 14500 block of Barkdoll Road. A handgun and cash was taken from a home.
