Two drivers cited for driving more than 90 mph on Interstate

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Two drivers were cited in September for driving more than 90 mph on Interstate 81 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

John G. Speese, 38, of York Springs, Pa., was cited for driving 95 mph, and Bennie L. Oliver, 52, of Chambersburg, Pa., was cited for driving 90 mph, police said.

Police also cited Kevin M. Naugle, 43, of Fayetteville, Pa., for driving 132 mph in a 55-mph zone on U.S. 30, police said.

Police release a monthly list of people caught driving more than 90 mph as part of a pilot program to discourage speeding, the department said.

Camera, money, guns and coin collection stolen from Spruce Road home

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A digital camera, money, a coin collection and two handguns were stolen Tuesday from a home in the 5100 block of Spruce Road, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

The burglary happened between 5:15 a.m. and 5:15 p.m., police said. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg at 717-264-5161.

Stolen credit card used to charge $1,000 on Walmart Web site

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Someone used a Chambersburg man's credit information to spend about $1,000 on walmart.com and open an account on MyWorldPhone.com, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

The identity theft was reported Tuesday, police said. Anyone with information may contact police at 717-264-5161.

Women hospitalized after three-vehicle crash in Quincy Township

QUINCY, Pa. - Two women were hospitalized Sept. 20 after a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Tomstown Road and Creager Road in Quincy Township, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Ardella I Moats, 82, of Waynesboro, was turning left onto Creager Road from Tomstown Road at about 9:13 a.m. when her Buick Century was struck by a Toyota pickup that was headed south on Tomstown Road, police said. The impact caused the Buick to hit a Dodge Ram that was stopped at a stop sign on Creager Road, police said.

Moats and her passenger, Christine Moats, 59, of Waynesboro, were taken to Waynesboro Hospital with moderate injuries, police said. Information on their conditions was not available Wednesday night.

Ardella Moats was cited for a turning violation, police said.
