Big Pool baton twirler qualifies for trip to Belgium

Briana Rohrer, 14, of Big Pool, daughter of Rod and Penny Rohrer, is a member of the Dynamics Twirling Group in Elkridge, Md., where she competes.

This past July, she attended the National Baton Twirling Association Nationals at Notre Dame, Ind. She competed in team and individuals and even duet with duet partner Kaityln Boyer. Every three years in baton twirling there is a world qualifying year where competitors represent the U.S. Briana and Kaitlyn are getting the opportunity this year as duet partners after winning the national title.

The world competition will be in Ghent, Belgium. Briana and her mom will be traveling there along with other senior members of her group to compete in April.
