Golf tournament

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Saturday, Sept. 27, tee-off at1 p.m., Whitetail Golf Restort. Four-man scramble format. $65 per individual includes 18 holes and dinner at the resort. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, third, closest to the pin and longest drive. Benefits 8-year-old Chris Lewis, who is in an extensive recovery following his third surgery for a brain tumor, and his family. Catoctin Aqueduct benefit 10- and 5-kilometer run-walk

Heavy metal concert

Pottery authentication and appraisal

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Saturday, Sept. 27, noon to 2 p.m., Renfrew Museum and Park, 1010 E. Main St. Richard C. Bell, board member of Nicodemus Center and noted expert on historic folk pottery, will appraise pieces for $25 each. Owners will receive a letter verifying the authenticity of the pottery and a statement of its current fair market value. Spaghetti dinner and Cabaret show

WILLIAMSPORT - Saturday, Sept. 27, 4 to 7 p.m., Williamsport High School. Williamsport High School SophistiCats will perform cabaret throughout the evening. All proceeds benefit the W.H.S. Benefit concert for Mason Ellsworth
