'Chihuahua' movie to help Humane Society

On Oct. 3, the Regal Valley Mall Stadium 16 is giving away a free movie poster or other movie items from the newest Disney film, "Beverly Hills Chihuahua," to anyone donating items to the collecting donations for the Humane Society of Washington County.

A collection box for the shelter will be set up in the lobby of the cinema in celebration of the movie. Movie viewers can bring a pet-related item to the theater, place it into the donation box and they will be given one of the gifts from "Beverly Hills Chihuahua."

The movie is the newest Disney film to be released and features the voices of Drew Barrymore, Piper Perabo, Jamie Lee Curtis, Andy Garcia, George Lopez, Manolo Cardona as a cast of dogs out to help a fellow canine in trouble.

The plot of the movie is that a pampered Chihuahua named Chloe (Drew Barrymore) finds herself accidentally lost in the mean streets of Mexico without a day spa or Rodeo Drive boutique anywhere in sight.

Now alone for the first time in her spoiled life, she must rely on some unexpected new friends - including a street-hardened German shepherd named Delgado (Andy Garcia) and an amorous pup named Papi (George Lopez) - to lend her a paw and help her to find her inner strength on their journey back home.
