September 24, 2008

FREDERICK, Md. -- A three-vehicle crash on U.S. 15 Tuesday involved a bus full of students from Easton, Md., but none of the students were injured in the crash, Maryland State Police said in a news release.

The crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. when a southbound Toyota pickup truck sideswiped a GMC Yukon SUV and struck a commuter bus on the left side, near the Md. 26 overpass, police said.

The driver of the pickup, Kathy Adelsberger, 49, of Emmitsburg, Md., and her passenger, Annette Redfern, 51, of Emmitsburg, were taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The bus, driven by Ronndelle Wilson, 34, of Easton, was transporting students of Saint Peter and Saint Paul School back to Easton from a cross country meet in Walkersville, police said. The students were being fed and housed at Independent Hose Company in Frederick until another bus arrived from Easton, police said.
