September 24, 2008

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Two men and a woman were arraigned Tuesday on felony counts of malicious wounding after an altercation Monday night ended with a man found unconscious outside of a home in downtown Martinsburg, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records.

Richard Mikel Bowers, 21, Robert Lynn Adams, 46, and Bonnie Lou Adams, 46, all of Martinsburg, were arraigned by Magistrate Sandra L. Miller, who set $50,000 bonds for each.

In a complaint filed with the court, Martinsburg Police Department Patrolman Daniel North said he found the victim on the ground outside of a residence at 312 N. Maple Ave. with several "knots" near his left eye, and his right eye was completely shut.

The victim reportedly was kicked in the head and side after being knocked unconscious, a witness told North. The incident was reported at 8:28 p.m.,
