Saints top Sidwell, improve to 3-0

WASHINGTON -- St. James put together a 61-yard drive and scored the go-ahead touchdown with just under six minutes left to post a 26-21 victory over Sidwell Friends on Saturday in the Mid Atlantic Conference opener for both teams.

Quarterback Mike Russ scored on a 3-yard run that put the Saints (3-0, 1-0) on top after Sidwell had taken a 21-20 lead in the third quarter.

Russ also scored rushing touchdowns from the 7 and 1 and threw a 31-yard scoring pass to Jordan Barr. Russ gained 75 yards rushing on 24 carries and threw for 181 yards on 13-of-24 passing.

The Saints have 13 touchdowns this season; Russ has thrown for seven and run for six.
