Centenarian's Day planned for Sept. 22



Interested in celebrating National Centenarian's Day on Monday, Sept. 22?

Williamsport Retirement Village is offering a free party pack to organizations looking for ideas on how to celebrate.

"National Centenarian's Day is a day set aside to recognize individuals 99 years of age or older for the contributions they have made in their life," according to a release from Williamsport Retirement Village.

Movie Night



Disciples Sunday School Class of Grace United Methodist Church will hold a movie night on Friday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. The movie is "High School Musical II."

There will be free soda, popcorn, hot dogs and snow cones. Please bring a blanket or chair.

Prescription help



The Washington County Community Action Council Inc. will host the Partnership for Prescription Assistance "Help is Here Express" bus tour on Monday, Sept. 22, from 10. a.m. to noon at Municipal Stadium parking lot, 274 E. Memorial Blvd., Hagerstown.

Individuals and families can come and find out if they may qualify for one or more of 475 patient assistance programs, many of which offer free or nearly free prescription medicines for those in need. If you bring your prescription, you may be able to leave that day with the paperwork to get your free or below cost medications on their way to you.

If you are uninsured and struggling the Partnership for Prescription Assistance may be able to help. It is fast, free, and convenient to see if you qualify.

Shiloh United Methodist Breakfast



Shiloh United Methodist Church, 19731 Shiloh Church Road, will have a pancake breakfast on Saturday Sept. 27. The time will be 7 to 11 a.m. The menu consists of pancakes, Hoffman sausage, sausage gravy, puddin, fruit cup, orange juice and coffee.

Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12.

Proceeds will go to the Alivia Koontz Medical Fund.
