Guitar reported stolen from Pa. home



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Someone stole a deep blue Jackson RR 3 electric six-string guitar from the basement of a Locust Street home, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

The guitar was taken between 7 p.m. July 30 and 3 p.m. Aug. 1, police said. It has a shark-fin style body, police said. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg at 717-264-5161.




Bag containing $7,000 stolen from vehicle



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Someone stole a bag containing about $7,000 in checks and cash from a vehicle in the 200 block of Kolpark Drive Friday morning, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Business documents in the bag also were taken, police said. The theft happened between midnight and 8 a.m., police said. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg at 717-264-5161.

Thefts from vehicles reported in Pa.



GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating thefts from four vehicles in the Greencastle area that happened Friday night or Saturday morning, according to department news releases.

A purse and some clothing were stolen between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Lisa Drive in Greencastle, police said.

Also, someone entered three vehicles at a residence in the 1500 block of Paul Mark Avenue in Greencastle between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and took cigarettes, bottled water, gloves and a pocket knife, police said.

$50 worth of wire taken from tower



McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Someone cut a hole in a fence and stole about $50 worth of copper wire from a Pennsylvania State Police radio tower in McConnellsburg last week, the department said in a news release.

The theft was discovered at about 10 a.m. Thursday, police said. Total damages are estimated at about $1,500, police said.

19-year-old Mercersburg man faces charges



MERCERSBURG, Pa. - A 19-year-old Mercersburg man faces charges after he allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old girl in a parking lot in July, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Alex Saul Chambers, of 11 Prospect Court, was charged with statutory sexual assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors, police said.
