MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Elizabeth S. Finley, 62, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at Shenandoah Health Village Center.

Born July 10, 1946, in Sandy Spring, Md., she was the daughter of the late Stanley Finley and Mary Hope Greene Sheils.

She is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Halling of Martinsburg; one brother, William Mock; and two sisters, Anne Rosner of New Market, Md., and Kathleen Hannigan of Gilbertville, Pa.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hopewell (Va.) Quaker Meeting.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Roger L. Peters, 57, of Chambersburg, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa.

Born July 23, 1951, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Harry T. Corwell Jr. and Mary Peters Corwell.

He had been employed by Letterkenny Army Depot.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.

He attended West Side Church in Chambersburg.

He was a member of American Legion Detrich-Brechbill Post 612, Hume McNeil Byers Amvets Post 224, Marine Corps League and 40 et 8 Club.

He is survived by his wife of more than 13 years, Sharon Miller Peters; four children, Crystal Clopper and Melissa Peters, both of Chambersburg, Michael Martin of Fayetteville, Pa., and Jessica Kuhs of Mont Alto, Pa.; six brothers, Barry, Theodore, Randall, Michael Rodgers, Harry Corwell III and George Corwell, all of Chambersburg; one sister, Debbie Tresler of Philadelphia; one stepsister, Candace Schooley of Ohio; two stepbrothers, Eugene Corwell of Gettysburg, Pa., and Terry Schooley of Ohio; and 12 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at West Side Church, Chambersburg. Pastor James M. Sollenberger will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the services.

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Mary L. Kriner Booz, 85, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Dec. 13, 1922, in Chambersburg, she was daughter of the late John and Anna Shatzley Kriner. Her husband, Fred E. Booz, died July 26, 1990. They were married Sept. 23, 1952.

She was employed at various sewing factories in the area.

She was a member of Church of the Brethren in Chambersburg.

She was a member of Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters, Frances Hooven of Fayetteville and Doris J. Hoover of Chambersburg; two granddaughters, Mindy and Becky Hooven; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by nine brothers and five sisters.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Lawton Jacobs will officiate. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
