She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald R. "Abe" Russell in 1997, and one great-granddaughter, Avelin Palkovitz, in 2007.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, I. Joseph Palkovitz; one daughter, JoEtta Palkovitz-Brown and husband, Thomas W. Brown, of Waynesboro, Pa.; a son, Rob Joseph Palkovitz and wife, Judy M., of Kemblesville, Pa.; four grandsons, Nathan Palkovitz and wife, Shannon Lynch, Collin Palkovitz and wife, Lindsay D., Ian Palkovitz and wife, Laura H., and Shane Palkovitz; a great-granddaughter, Isla M. Palkovitz; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Cordell of Hagerstown and Nellie Palkovitz of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and many nieces, nephews, good friends and neighbors.

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. George Limmer as celebrant.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the immediate family.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Dorothy W. Lausch Allsopp, 93, a resident of Menno Haven, and formerly of Waynesboro, Pa., died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at the nursing home.

Born Oct. 13, 1914, in Lititz, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George and Amanda Whitmire Lausch.

Her husband, Roy Allsopp, died Aug. 23, 1973. They were married May 21, 1949.

She was a homemaker all her life.

She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Waynesboro.

She was the last of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

Graveside services will be today at 10 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The Rev. Linda Watkins will officiate.

There will be no public viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 112 E. Second St., Waynesboro, PA 17268; or to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, c/o Zembo Temple, 2801 N. Third St., Harrisburg, PA 17110.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Eloise B. Knaggs, 87, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at her residence.

Born Oct. 2, 1920, in Frederick, Md., she was the daughter of the late Glenn O. Biser and Esther V. Beachley Biser Ahalt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip H. Knaggs.

She was a 1938 graduate of Frederick High School and a 1939 graduate of West Virginia College of Beauty Culture.

She retired as deputy county clerk for Berkeley County in 1983.

She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, where she served as kindergarten Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. She was a member of the church council and Fidelity Sunday school class.

She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia E. Baughman of Chambersburg, Pa.; four grandchildren, Jennifer M. Knaggs of Juneau, Alaska, Pamela B. Knaggs of Huntington, W.Va., and Daniel R. Davis and Philip M. Davis, both of Charleston, S.C.; two great-grandsons; one niece; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Philip Douglas Knaggs, and one sister, Jeanne Gearinger.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Ken Fizer will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Jean E. "Beanie" Keltner, 84, of 95 Hillen Lane, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born May 2, 1924, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Margaret Sonnik Etter.

She was a 1942 graduate of Chambersburg High School.

She was employed by Hartzok Insurance for 45 years and later became co-owner with Ruth Bard. She retired in 1986.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

She was a member of VFW Post 1599 Auxiliary, Falling Spring Branch AARP and F&M Go Club.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Melvin E. "Bucket" Keltner; one daughter, Teena Keltner Buselli of Chambersburg; three grandchildren, Dominic Buselli, Nicholas Buselli and Kristeena Buselli; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles E. Etter and Robert S. Etter.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Steven W. Dorsett will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
