Prostate cancer awareness in Hagerstown

September 15, 2008

Fox News reporter and Hagerstown native Kelly Wright was the emcee for Sunday's "Dinner with the Doc" program at Memorial Recreation Center in Hagerstown. The event, aimed at raising awareness about the increased risk of prostate cancer for black men ages 45 and older, also included a talk by Dr. Francisco Daniels of Washington County Hospital. The free program was funded by a grant from the American Cancer Society, hospital spokeswoman Nicole Jovel said. The hospital is using the grant to establish a prostate cancer outreach program, she said.
