BRUNSWICK, Md. -- Williamsport's Michael Lilley dominated Saturday at the Brunswick Invitational, winning the small-school boys race in a course-record 16:15 to lead the Wildcats to the team title.

Delone Catholic's Chris Sauvageau finished a distant second in 17:05. Liberty's Tim Souders, the big-school boys champ, also was well off Lilley's pace, finishing in 16:58.

The Wildcats, who held off runner-up Allegany 60-72, also got a seventh-place finish from Naseem Haje (17:45).

David Wilson placed third (17:18) for fourth-place Smithsburg; Evan Moser (17:51) and Jordan Acton (18:09) were eighth and 10th for sixth-place Boonsboro; and Cory Horton finished sixth (17:42) for seventh-place Clear Spring.

In the girls small-school division, Tracey Forsythe (21:36) and Kellie Quinn (22:49) finished third and 10th for third-place Williamsport.

In the girls big-school division, Alison Harrel (22:03) and Taryn Shank (22:04) were fifth and sixth for runner-up North Hagerstown, while Shelby Johnson took fourth (21:46) for fourth-place Martinsburg.


North placed fourth in the boys big-school division, led by Carl Ober's ninth-place finish (18:33).


Frankfort 3, No. 6 Berkeley Springs 2

RIDGELEY, W.Va. -- Matt Martin scored twice and Matt Stevens had an assist as Berkeley Springs lost on the road.

Guidel Guzman had six saves for the Indians (5-3), who lost despite outshooting Frankfort, 28-9.

Mercersburg 4, Kiski 0

SALTSBURG, Pa. -- Dave Marshall scored twice, Joey Roberts and Guilherme Souto added a goal apiece, and Mercersburg shut out Kiski School.


No. 3 Martinsburg 5, Brooke 1

WELLSBURG, W.Va. -- Amy Wright led Martinsburg with two goals and an assist as the Bulldogs (6-1-1) defeated Brooke.

Kendall Bush and Jessica Ho each scored, Lauren Trumble added a pair of assists, and Jamie Hill had an assist for Martinsburg. Victoria Curtis recorded eight saves in goal.

No. 7 Mercersburg 5, St. John's Catholic Prep 0

MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- Jenn Dillon and Laura Rahauser each had a goal and an assist and Mercersburg Academy posted its fourth straight shutout.

Olivia Bulcao, Mackenzie Quinn and Wynn Holzwarth also scored for the Blue Storm (4-0). Rachael Porter and Bailey Blake recorded the shutout in goal, combining for 16 saves.

Linganore 3, Williamsport 0

WILLIAMSPORT -- Katelyn Montgomery, Stephanie Giangiuli and Lauren Woods scored, and Kelsey Quinn had seven saves for Linganore.

Lexi Bryan recorded nine saves for Williamsport (0-2).

McConnellsburg 2, St. James 0

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. -- St. James falls to 1-3-1 with the loss.


Mercersburg goes 1-2

MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- Mercersburg Academy played host to Musselman, Berkeley Springs, and Lawrenceville on Saturday, and went 1-2 in its matches.

The Blue Storm was swept 25-11, 27-25 by Musselman, defeated the Indians 14-25, 25-15, 25-12, then fell to Lawrenceville, 25-16, 25-16.

Taylor Riley had 21 kills, 19 digs and nine aces on the day, while Abby Schwing recorded 21 assists and Sarah Kolanowski added 14 digs and two blocks for Mercersburg.


Mercersburg Academy 3, Bishop McDevitt 0

MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- Arcadia Hartung, Annie Birney and Clare Shearer each scored, Jane Banta had a save, and Mercersburg outshot Bishop McDevitt, 42-1.
