Smithsburg Leopards (1-0) at Poolesville Falcons (0-1)

When: Today, 6:30 p.m.

Series: Smithsburg leads, 4-1.

Last meeting: 2007 - Smithsburg, 42-7.

Last week: The Leopards beat Northern Garrett, 27-21. ... The Falcons lost to Brunswick, 37-0.

Notes: The Leopards outgained Northern Garrett 324-106, but three lost fumbles helped keep Northern in the game. Eric Parker rushed for 170 yards and a TD and picked up a crucial first down late in the fourth quarter. QB Kyle Orndorff was 4-for-5 passing for 52 yards and 3 TDs (2 to Josh Conway, 1 to Billy Lawrence) in his first start. The Falcons have been shut out in two of their last three games.

North Hagerstown Hubs (0-1) at Allegany Campers (1-0)

When: Today, 7 p.m. at Greenway Avenue Stadium

Series: Allegany leads, 25-8.

Last meeting: 2007 - Allegany, 42-7.


Last week: The Hubs lost to Heritage (Va.), 56-28. ... The Campers beat Southern Garrett, 52-8.

Notes: Allegany has won the last 13 meetings. The Hubs trailed 20-0 after 3 1/2 minutes and 36-0 after one quarter against Heritage. The Hubs fumbled 11 times, losing four. Nine of the fumbles came on center-quarterback exchanges. Bryan Calendine completed three passes - all to Anthony Winters, all for more than 50 yards. The Campers rolled over Southern Garrett, leading 45-0 at halftime. J.D. Hook had 80 yards rushing and 3 TDs and Dustin Wharton added 68 yards and 2 TDs.

Berkeley Springs Indians (0-1) at South Hagerstown Rebels (0-1)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: Berkeley Springs leads, 1-0.

Last meeting: 2007 - Berkeley Springs, 56-22.

Last week: The Indians lost to Hampshire, 13-6. The Rebels lost to Century, 38-0.

Notes: The Indians gained 201 yards against Hampshire, including 113 yards passing by backup quarterback Lucas Redick. The Rebels were carved up by Century's spread offense last week, yielding more than 500 yards, including 241 yards passing and 2 TDs by Josh Bordner. The Rebels, who also run the spread, didn't fare as well, gaining only 125 yards and picking up just eight first downs. They also fumbled six times, losing three.

Southern Garrett Rams (0-1) at Boonsboro Warriors (1-0)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: Boonsboro leads, 2-0.

Last meeting: 2007 - Boonsboro, 54-14.

Last week: The Rams lost to Allegany, 52-8. ... The Warriors beat Crossland, 26-14.

Notes: The Rams trailed Allegany 20-0 after one quarter and 45-0 at halftime. The Rams gained just four yards in the first half. The Warriors got a couple extra precious win points with the win over Class 3A Crossland, which was a late addition to the schedule. Teams are awarded seven points for a win over a 3A school; a win over Moorefield - the Warriors' originally scheduled opponent last week and a Class 1A equivalent school - would only have netted five points. Brandon McLean rushed for 155 yards as the Warriors rolled up 302 total yards.

Williamsport Wildcats (0-1) at Northern Garrett Huskies (0-1)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: Northern Garrett leads, 1-0.

Last meeting: 2007 - Northern Garrett, 12-0.

Last week: The Wildcats lost to South Carroll, 35-6. ... The Huskies lost to Smithsburg, 27-21.

Notes: South Carroll held the Wildcats under 200 total yards. QB Nate Tyson had the Wildcats' only score. The Huskies managed only 106 yards and six first downs in the loss to Smithsburg. Zach Fratz scored 2 TDs for the Huskies, one on a 4-yard run, the other a 90-yard kickoff return. Josh Duckworth completed 7 of 13 passes for 69 yards, including an 8-yard TD pass to Kyle Gillum.

Susquenita Blackhawks (0-2) at James Buchanan Rockets (0-2)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: First meeting.

Last week: The Blackhawks lost to Middletown (Pa.), 54-7. ... The Rockets lost to East Pennsboro, 54-27.

Notes: The Blackhawks scored just 40 seconds into the game against Middletown on a 5-yard run by Derec Sauve, but never found the end zone again. The Blackhawks finished with just 7 yards rushing on 16 attempts. The Rockets trailed East Pennsboro 27-7 after one quarter and 47-7 at halftime. The Rockets gained 303 yards in the loss. QB Jesse Smartt was 13 of 30 passing for 189 yards and 2 TDs, both to Alex Buterbaugh. Tyson Keith ran for 2 TDs.

Harrisburg Cougars (0-2) at Chambersburg Trojans (0-2)

When: Today, 7 p.m.

Series: Harrisburg leads, 14-10-1.

Last meeting: 2005 - Harrisburg, 50-21.

Last week: The Cougars lost to Central Dauphin, 14-11. ... The Trojans lost to Altoona, 49-28.

Notes: The Cougars took an 11-8 lead on Central Dauphin in the fourth quarter on Anthony Holmes' 15-yard TD pass to Chris Jones. CD scored the winning touchdown with 25 seconds remaining in the game. The Trojans surrendered 417 rushing yards in the loss to Altoona. Dontay Russ rushed for 82 yards for the Trojans, including a 47-yard TD.

Hedgesville Eagles (0-2) at Sherando Warriors (1-0)

Last week: The Eagles lost to Potomac Falls, 68-0. ... The Warriors beat Musselman, 37-10.
