MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Four people have been arrested following an incident early last Thursday in which an automobile was shot with up to three different-caliber weapons in the East Moler Avenue area, police said.

Arrested on charges of wanton endangerment were Courtney Lamar Jenkins, 19, of 37 Wilson St., Martinsburg; Lateef J. McGann, 18, of 42 Capitol Drive, Martinsburg; Montezz Taryle Lincoln, 23, of 820 N. High St., Martinsburg; and Thomas James King, 19, of no fixed address, police said.

Martinsburg Police Department officers said they responded to the area of East Moler Avenue and North High Street about 2:30 a.m. for a report of shots fired, but did not find anyone.

Later in the day, detectives found the vehicle involved in the shooting in the Roberts Gardens apartments along U.S. 11 north, according to a Martinsburg Police Department news release.

One of the people believed to have been in the vehicle was interviewed and it appears no one was injured in the shooting, the release said.

Police said they determined that people in the vehicle parked in an alley beside 820 North High St. and met with several other people.

An argument began and as the vehicle left, several shots were fired at it, police said.

Police said an investigation is continuing.
