I hope everyone has been able to enjoy the warm weather we've been having. There are a few things to do this week so if you get the chance go and enjoy one of them.

Remembrance ceremony

A remembrance ceremony will be held in the Hagerstown City Council Chambers on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in observance of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Yard sale

Hagerstown First Church of God, at 1015 Rosehill Ave., will hold a yard sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. A chicken barbecue will start at 11 a.m.


Locust Point

The Neighborhoods 1st Locust Point group will resume meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Bester Elementary School library.

Lt. Wolford will be speaking on the Citizens on Patrol program, followed by an invitation to sign up to participate in the program.

Discovery Station

On Saturday, Ginny Gaylor, director of the Star Equestrian Center, will be on hand with miniature horse Abby. The program starts at 2 p.m. at Discovery Station in downtown Hagerstown.

Neighborhoods 1st Historic Heights
