Salvation Army in Hagerstown accepting Christmas applications

The Salvation Army will be accepting applications for Christmas assistance this fall.

Applications will be taken between Oct. 28 and Nov. 7.

On Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, the times will be from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 7 p.m. All other days will be between 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 and 3 p.m.

The location for submitting applications is 541 George St., Hagerstown.

To make an application in person, you must bring the following:

Personal identification

Social Security card (for each member of the family)

Proof of children's age: medical card, shot record or birth certificate

Proof of source of income: check stub, award letter or copy of check

Rent receipt, section 8 confirmation, canceled check, and copy of lease


Any other financial information which you want the agency to bear in mind in determining your acceptance.
