Greencastle woman charged with hindering boyfriend's arrest

GREENCASTLE, Pa. -- A 19-year-old Greencastle woman was charged with hindering apprehension Monday after she allegedly lied to police that her boyfriend was not with her, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Police allege Nicole Fleet told officers her boyfriend, Sean Marshall, had gone home when officers arrived to serve a felony warrant for Marshall, according to the news release. Fleet gave police permission to search her home and Marshall was apprehended, police said.

Both Fleet and Marshall were taken to Franklin County Jail, police said.

Rings, pistol stolen from Peters Township home

MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a theft last month of two Masonic gold rings, a Black Hills gold ring and a black powder pistol from a Peters Township home.

The items were taken from the 5200 block of Fort Loudon Road between Aug. 7 and Aug. 31, police said. Anyone with information may contact Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg at 717-264-5161.


Fort Loudon teen charged with fleeing from police

MERCERSBURG, Pa. -- A 17-year-old from Fort Loudon, Pa., was charged with escape and resisting arrest after police say he fled from officers early Tuesday, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

The teenager, whose name was not released, turned himself in later that day, police said.

The incident began when police found a stolen truck at about 7:30 p.m. Monday near Buchanan Trail West and Dickeys Road in Peters Township, police said. Officers determined the 17-year-old was the operator and began a search for him, police said. At about 1:30 a.m., A Mercersburg Police officer learned where the teenager was and proceeded to that location, but the suspect fled before Pennsylvania State Police arrived, police said. A foot chase ensued and a Maryland State Police helicopter assisted in the search, but the suspect was not caught, police said.

After turning himself in, the teenager was turned over to Juvenile Probation, police said.

Martinsburg man hurt in Metal Township crash

FORT LOUDON, Pa. -- A Martinsburg, W.Va., man sustained minor injuries Monday in a motorcycle crash on Richmond Road in Metal Township, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Michael C. Feddon, 44, was headed west on Richmond Road when he ran off the road and laid the motorcycle down at about 3:07 p.m. as he went around a curve to the left about 115 feet north of South Ravenwood Trail, police said. Feddon, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Chambersburg Hospital with minor injuries, police said.

Distracted driver crashes into guard rail in Pa.

FANNETSBURG, Pa. -- A 17-year-old from Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., sustained minor injuries Monday when he was distracted by a ringing cell phone and crashed into a guard rail on Pa. 16, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Caleb M. Lamora was driving east on Pa. 16 when the crash happened at about 9:33 p.m. about 2,000 feet east of Pa. 456, police said. His 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier rolled over one and three-quarter times along the west side of the roadway, police said.

Lamora was taken to Fulton County Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries, police said.
