Va. woman killed in I-70 accident in Fulton County

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. -- A Fairfax, Va. woman died Monday in a car accident on I-70 in southern Fulton County, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Jenee Mason, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt force trauma, police said in a news release.

Mason was a passenger in a 2001 Acura 3.2 that was traveling east on I-70 when it ran off the road into the median near the Amaranth exit at about 7:15 p.m., police said. The car traveled about half a mile before hitting an embankment, police said. The car became airborne and traveled about 150 feet before hitting another embankment and rolling over, police said.

The driver, Kacey Greene, 33, of Washington, D.C., was flown to Altoona (Pa.) Hospital. He was listed in serious condition Wednesday morning.

Needmore fire and ambulance companies assisted at the scene, police said.
