A new Neighborhoods 1st group is forming. It will be known as Historic North, and includes the 700 to 1000 block of Oak Hill Avenue and Hamilton Boulevard, and the west side of Potomac Street.

The group meets the first Wednesday of each month at Potomac Heights Elementary School at 7 p.m.

The group's first block party will be Saturday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m. in the 800 block of Oak Hill Avenue. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. All are asked to bring a covered dish to share.
