Festival celebrates Asian culture

TOWSON, Md. - The Asian Arts & Cultural Center presents the fourth Many Moons Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6.

The full-day festival features performances by professional dancers and musicians, hands-on arts and crafts workshops and martial arts demonstrations.

The Crossroads Marketplace features Asian products such as handicrafts, foods and teas.

Practitioners will demonstrate traditional Asian healing arts and Asian nonprofit community organizations are invited to display and provide information about their services.

Tickets for the festival cost $15 for adults; $10 for Asian Arts & Culture Center members; $5 for students and children older than 3; and free for children ages 3 and younger with a paying adult.

A visual arts exhibition, "Myth and Symbol in Korean American Art," will be on display from Saturday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Oct. 18, at the Center for the Arts Asian Arts Gallery.


Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
