The Williamses

Joseph and Lilyan Williams of Jefferson, Md., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Dutch's Daughters Restaurant in Frederick, Md. The celebration was hosted by their children, Maryann and Bill Brown of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Jody Williams and Bridget Wenner of Shannondale, W.Va.

Approximately 60 guests attended, including friends and relatives from Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

The Williamses were married on June 28, 1958, at the Christian Holiness Church in Gapland by the Rev. Daniel Blickenstaff.

They have two grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Mr. Williams, originally from Winchester, Va., retired from Alpha Portland Cement Co. (now Essroc) in 1995.

Mrs. Williams, the former Lilyan Coulter, is the daughter of the late John and Martha Coulter. She began her career as a legal secretary for Robert E. Clapp Jr. and Reese Shoemaker in Frederick in 1954 and continued in the firm for 41 years. She also has worked in the child-care field.


The Feigleys

Teresa and Kenneth Feigley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, with a surprise party at the North American Rod and Gun Club hosted by their family.

The Feigleys were married at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Hagerstown by the Rev. Baughman, now deceased.

They have four children, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Feigley is the office manager at Milmar Plastics Inc. Mr. Feigley retired from Jamison Door Co. after 42 years of service.

The Zimmermans

Harold and Patsie Zimmerman of Falling Waters, W.Va., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 2, 2008.

They have six children and 16 grandchildren.
