Alicia Cordova, 82



JUNE 20, 1926-AUG. 25, 2008

DOVER, Del. - Alicia Cordova, 82, of 1289 Walker Road, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at the home of her son.

Born June 20, 1926, in El Salvador, she was the daughter of the late Rafael Alvarez and Antonia Cordova.

She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Dover.

She is survived by one son, Vladimir A. Corea of Hagers- town; one sister, Carlota Cienfuegos of Dover; and two grandchildren, Amanda Corea and Marci Corea, both of Hagers- town.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Dover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Highland View Church, Honduras Fund, 21600 Academy Terrace, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Robert E. Strang, 58

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Robert E. Strang, 58, of 6828 Furnace Road, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, the result of an industrial accident at Nitterhouse Concrete in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born March 17, 1950, he was the son of Harry E. Strang of Fayetteville and the late B. LaRue Scott Strang.

He was a 1969 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School.

He was employed by Nitterhouse Concrete, as an equipment operator for the past eight years.

He served in the U.S. Marines.

He was a member of Eagles Club Inc., Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1191, William Max McLaughlin VFW Post 695 and Order of the Owls Nest 1073, all of Waynesboro, and South Mountain (Pa.) Fish and Game Association.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Wagaman Strang, whom he married Oct. 21, 1978; one daughter, Brandy L. Baker of Mont Alto, Pa.; one sister, Linda S. Kendall of Waynesboro; nieces; and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home in Waynesboro. The Rev. David L. Keener will officiate. Burial will follow in Strang's Cemetery, South Mountain.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Anna L. Lutman, 81



AUG. 19, 1927-AUG. 24, 2008

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Anna Lou Lutman, 81, of Berkeley Springs, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, at Berkeley Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing.

Born Aug. 19, 1927, in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Russell and Elizabeth N. Stotler Lopp.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Lutman, in 2002.

She attended North Berkeley School.

She had worked at Interwoven Hosiery Mill in Berkeley Springs.

She was a Methodist.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra A. Dick of Berkeley Springs; one son, Dale F. Lutman of Berkeley Springs; two brothers, James Lopp and Herbert Lopp, both of Berkeley Springs; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; nieces; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen L. Mills; and one nephew.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home in Berkeley Springs. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Floyd Edward McBride, 87

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Floyd Edward McBride, 87, of Luther Drive, Chambersburg, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008.

Born Jan. 9, 1921, in Newell, Pa., he was a son of the late John E. and Lottie E. Woods McBride.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, June Sanders McBride, May 6, 1988.

He was a 1938 graduate of East Donegal Township High School, a 1950 graduate of Purdue University, a 1955 graduate of Case University and a 1957 graduate of the University of Cincinnati.

He veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.

He was employed as a metallurgical engineer with General Motors.

He is survived by his wife, Esther Straley McBride, whom he married Nov. 26, 1988; three daughters; Marilyn Vargo of Cleveland, Pamela Ramirez of Oakland, Calif., and Linda McBride of Denver; three sons, Leland McBride of Columbus, Ohio, Dennis McBride of Wake Forrest, N.C., and Steven McBride of Columbus; one sister, M. Ruth Storm; 12 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Edna R. Rohrbach; and one grandson.

A memorial service will be Saturday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. at the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Herbert Spomer will officiate. Burial will be in White Haven Gardens, Cleveland, Ohio.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service.
