Blair's Valley First Church of God will be holding an old-fashioned service at the Old Log Church on Blair's Valley Road on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 5 p.m. Friends and neighbors in the community are invited to attend the service.

Soup and sandwiches

Fort Frederick Ruritan will hold a soup and sandwich sale at the Big Pool Community Building on Friday from 3 p.m. until sold out. They will be serving homemade soups and sandwiches. Pies and cakes will also be available.

Pancake breakfast

Clear Spring High School Athletic Boosters will hold a pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturday, Sept. 6, at the high school. The breakfast will be from 7 to 11 a.m. Tickets cost $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for students. Those younger than school age will be admitted free. Tickets are available from any CSHS athlete, coaches, parents, or they will also be available at the door. Proceeds benefit CSHS athletics.
