CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- An employee of Nitterhouse Concrete and Masonry Products was killed Monday afternoon in an industrial accident at the plant on Molly Pitcher Highway, according to the Franklin County Coroner's Office.
Robert E. Strang, 58, of Waynesboro, Pa., was pronounced dead at the scene of the 12:09 p.m. accident, Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner said.
The manner of death was an industrial accident, Conner said, but the cause of death has not been released pending the results of an autopsy Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Medical Center in Allentown, Pa.
Strang died in the company's precast/prestressed concrete plant, where hollowcore planks are made, Conner said. Details of the accident will be released after the autopsy, he said.
