Products and services: "We offer herbal teas, fresh-cut flowers (on occasion) and silk floral arrangements, candles, herbs, natural body care products and more, as well as a Tranquility Room designed for meditation, reading (with a cup of tea) or just plain relaxation in a peaceful, beautiful environment. Tranquility's Flower Garden is a place to shop and smell the roses. We also offer alternative gardens and silk floral recycling, and will be offering plants, pottery and more in the near future."

Market area: "I'd like to market to all individuals that appreciate and value beauty. Hopefully, this covers Maryland and surrounding areas."

How did you get into your business, or what motivated you to start it? "I have always appreciated beauty in all its forms and in nature in particular. I think this comes from my mom, who has always presented a beautiful home and a love of flowers. I also love the thought of offering people an opportunity to shop in an environment that caters to their needs as a shopper, but to their spirit as well.

Previous business experience: "I have worked in management, customer service and executive capacities for the past 23 years."
