Pastor named for CrossWalk Church

August 21, 2008

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - CrossWalk Church has announced the hiring of its first pastor as of July 1.

Born and raised in Wolfsville, Md., Dave Wolf brings to the community a passion that the local church be a culturally relevant ministry, according to a news release.

The fit for CrossWalk seems perfect since the focus of the church is toward young families and those who do not have a church background or are disillusioned with their church experience.

Wolf graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a degree in electrical engineering and received his master of theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He was ordained to the ministry at Lancaster County Bible Church in June 2001.

At CrossWalk, Wolf will be lead teaching pastor. Besides teaching, he will work with church leadership to continue moving forward the mission of CrossWalk - Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World.

Wolf and his wife, Sherri, enjoy counseling pre-married couples together. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in speech communication and received a master's in Christian education from Dallas Theological Seminary.

The Wolfs have three young children, Jessica, Marissa, and Nathan.

CrossWalk Church meets Sundays at 10 a.m. at the Waynesboro YMCA. A full range of children's programming is offered every week. The church started meeting in September 2007, and now averages 150 in attendance.
