Clear Spring schools receive gifts from Snyder fund

Clear Spring Elementary and Clear Spring Middle schools each received monetary gifts from the Leonard P. Snyder Fund Inc.

Those gifts were approved by the Washington County Board of Education Tuesday. The vote was 7-0.

A $5,221.59 gift was received for Clear Spring Elementary, officials said. The money will be used for 12 items, including art resources, reading intervention, math items and other equipment, documents state.

A gift of $3,375 will go to Clear Spring Middle School, which will be used to purchase a vibraphone for the school band, officials said. A vibraphone is a percussion instrument.
