WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- The Federal Little League All-Stars from Hagerstown lost 15-5 to Mill Creek, Wash., in a Little League World Series game Monday.
It was Federal's first loss in tournament play this year after 16 consecutive victories.
Mill Creek scored seven times in the top of the fifth inning to break open an 8-5 game, then held Federal scoreless in the bottom half of the inning to win via the 10-run rule.
Mill Creek pounded out 16 hits, including four by Jason Todd and two homers from Alec Kisena. Todd went 4-for-4 with a three-run homer and finished a triple short of the cycle as Washington secured its first win in the tournament.
