MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Geneva Pearl Mason, 75, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at her home.
Born Dec. 20, 1932, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee McDonald and Hazel Marie Barrett McDonald.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William Carl Mason.
She was formerly employed by Super 8 Motel in Martinsburg.
She was a member of Inwood (W.Va.) Family Worship Center, a former member of Calvary Temple in Williamsport and attended Gateway Ministries.
She is survived by one son, Jeffrey C. Mason of Martinsburg; Daniel P. Butts of Grafton, W.Va., whom she raised; two sisters, Marie E. Triggs and Charlotte A. Harrell, both of Martinsburg; two brothers, Floyd W. McDonald of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Ralph J. McDonald of Inwood; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Louise V. Nevel; and four brothers, Harold L. McDonald, Chester L. McDonald, Gary W. McDonald and Roy N. McDonald.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Inwood Family Worship Center. The Rev. David Palmer will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Barbara L. Jefferis, 93, of Chambersburg and formerly of Coatesville, Pa., died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at the Shook Home.
Born Oct. 13, 1914, in Shamokin, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Katie May Woland Lippiatt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth B. Jefferis, in 1994. They were married June 30, 1951.
She was a 1932 graduate of Reading (Pa.) High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary for more than 30 years with the law firm of Gordon and Ashton in Coatesville and retired from the law firm of Thomas Ashton in West Chester, Pa.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Coatesville.
She is survived by one daughter, Kay L. Geisel of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Katie L. Hershberger of Chambersburg and Stephen K. Hershberger of Waynesboro, Pa.; and one great-grandson.
Services will be Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home in Chambersburg. The Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate.
A graveside service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Laureldale Cemetery in Reading. The Rev. John W. Carlson will officiate.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Alvie Woodrow Buchanan Jr., 74, of Falling Waters, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, W.Va.
Born Aug. 24, 1933, in Chatham Hill, Va., he was the son of the late Alvie W. Buchanan Sr. and Mary Sheffield Buchanan.
He retired from Aggregate Industries as a stone salesman.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Sprinkle Buchanan; one daughter, Sherri Buchanan of Williamsport; one son, Michael Buchanan of Williamsport; one sister, Sandra Bozoian; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Morris D. Buchanan.
Services and burial will be held at a later date.
