August 17, 2008

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Several persons working in Fulton County were "arrested" recently for various offenses including stealing golf carts, indecent exposure and harassment.

It was all in good fun to raise funds for the Fulton County Medical Center's Careers in Healthcare Scholarship Program.

Those arrested included Kim Slee, Mike Kendall, Jewel Palmer, Terry Wilson, Kathy Kendall, Dr. Frank D'Amelio, Paul Johnston, Amanda Fisher, Chad Buterbaugh, Andy Washabaugh, Joey Lane, Dali Ribeiro and Tawnie House.

Jewel Palmer exceeded her bail, which was set at $950. She raised $1,600.

The judges for the event were Helen Overly and Timothy McGarvey.

The arresting officer was county corner, Daryl Heckman.

All funds raised will be used for scholarships for local students.

Each year the Fulton County Medical Center awards scholarships to local high school students, adult learners and college students. FCMC will award a total of five such scholarships totaling $5,000 this summer.
