Former Williamsport resident receives Melvin Jones Fellowship

Former Williamsport resident Nick Diseati Jr. recently was honored by the Park West Lions Club in Manassas, Va., with the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship award.

The award is the highest given by the club to one of its members and recognizes dedicated efforts of humanitarian work.

Diseati, the first vice president of the club, was featured in an article in the Manassas Journal Messenger for his achievement.

He is the son of Lorraine Diseati of Hagerstown and the late Nick Diseati, and a graduate of Williamsport High School and Frostburg State College (now University).
