Maugansville Pride Day

The 28th annual Maugansville Pride Day will be held at Ruritan Park on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be funnel cakes, country ham sandwiches, Italian sausages, hamburgers, steamers, hot dogs and homemade soups available. The fire company will have peanut oil fries, too.

Free entertainment will be provided all day and Conrad Brooks (retired movie star and director) will be showing movies and signing autographs in the building. There will be more than 50 craft vendors in the park as well as tables set up by local businesses, banks and organizations. There will be plenty of free parking. The park is west of Interstate 81 on Maugans Avenue.

Dog wash

Don't forget the Dog Wash and "Flealess" Market and Yard Sale at the Humane Society of Washington County on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The shelter is in need of towels for the dog wash. Anyone interested in donating towels may bring them by the shelter at 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown.
