August 15, 2008

A Hagerstown man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly threatened his estranged wife with a shotgun, Hagerstown Police Department Sgt. Tom Langston said.

Douglas Hollar, 37, of 1119 Green Lane, was charged with second-degree assault and false imprisonment, Langston said.

The incident started about 9 p.m. when his wife got out of his vehicle in the 700 block of Spruce Street and called for help from a bar on Salem Avenue, Langston said.

Hollar was arrested without incident about 9:50 p.m. at his home, Langston said.
