Waynesboro man faces theft charges



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Waynesboro police charged a 36-year-old local man after they discovered stolen utility trailers, a jet fuel pump and oil tank at local recycling centers.

Those items had been reported missing on the morning of Aug. 9 from a machine shop on West Fifth Street, police said.

Andrew O. Mohn Sr. was charged with theft of movable property after officers questioned who had recycled the items, police said.

$4,300 radio system stolen form vehicle in Frederick County



MONROVIA, Md. - The Frederick County Sheriff's Department is investigating the May 20 theft of a $4,300 Alpine radio system from a vehicle in the Monrovia area, the department said in a press release.

A credit card also was stolen and was used later that day at several businesses, including a Wal-Mart in Germantown, Md., where surveillance cameras captured a photo of the suspects, deputies said.

The suspects are described as men with brown hair and wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and jeans, deputies said. A surveillance photo is available upon request from the Frederick County Sheriff's Department.

Man who smacked girl in Frederick liquor store sought



FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick County Sheriff's Department is looking for a man who allegedly smacked a 14-year-old girl on the buttocks while she was in a liquor store with a friend and her mother, the department said in a press release.

The incident happened July 10 about 6:30 p.m. at Crestwood Liquors in Frederick, deputies said.

The man was wearing a black and white checkered ball cap, a white T-shirt and jeans, deputies said. A surveillance photo of the suspect is available upon request from the Frederick County Sheriff's Department.
