Grant-writing workshop

FREDERICK, Md. - Cigarette Restitution Fund Program holds grant-writing workshops for agencies and individuals who are interested in applying for grants that are available through the Cigarette Restitution Fund Grant Program. Grants will be awarded for educational and cessation programs in Frederick County to address reduction of tobacco use for adults and youth. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19; and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26. 'Give Wildlife a Helping Hand'

FORT LOUDON, Pa. - Children investigate habitats and learn, hands-on, how to improve these habitats for wildlife. Children completing all eight hours of programming receive a patch. Master naturalist workshops

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - The workshops train individuals enrolled in Audubon Society's Potomac Valley Master Naturalist Program. Also open on a space-available basis to the public. Enrollment for each workshop is limited to 20 persons.

o Saturday, Aug. 23 - Cacapon State Park: Singing insects, 6 to 10 p.m.

o Saturday, Sept. 6 - Cacapon State Park: Astronomy with binoculars, 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Bankruptcy education

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A two-hour mandatory class to assist Franklin County residents filing for debt relief.
