Incidents reported to Washington County Sheriff's Department



The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded recently to the following incidents, according to Lt. Mark Knight:

Monday:

o At 2:30 a.m., breaking and entering was reported at Wolfes on the Square in Williamsport. The business was broken into and coins were taken.

o At 1:30 p.m., theft was reported in the 11100 block of Lakeside Drive. Several watches were taken from a home.

o At 4:45 p.m., theft from a motor vehicle was reported at Sprint on Maugans Avenue. Maryland tag number MAG940 was taken off a vehicle.

o At 5:25 p.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 19700 block of Scott Hill Drive. A rear bumper was damaged overnight.

o At 11:50 p.m., theft was reported in the 15600 block of Clearspring Road. Someone took $100 in cash and four PlayStation games.

Tuesday:

o At 10:25 a.m., theft was reported in the 1200 block of Frederick Street. Mediation was taken.

o At 11:45 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 700 block of Boyd Street in Cascade. A back door was damaged.

o At 11:45 a.m., breaking and entering was reported in the 700 block of Boyd Street in Cascade. Someone tried to enter a home.

o At 4 p.m., theft was reported in the 14000 block of Village Mill Drive. A bicycle was taken.

Wednesday

o At 1:30 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported at the Sheetz in Hancock. A rock was thrown through a window.

o At 7 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 13400 block of Wellspring Drive. Two decorative deer were taken.

o At 8 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the 17600 block of Cedar Lawn Drive. A glass table top was broken.

o At 8 a.m., malicious destruction of property was reported in the area of Landis Road. A corn crop was damaged by a vehicle.

o At 9 a.m., attempted theft was reported in the area of Canal Street. Someone tried to take a vehicle.

o At 4:20 p.m., attempted breaking and entering was reported in the 13000 block of Herman Myers Road. A rock was thrown through a garage window.
