Tickets cost $59.50 to $99.50. Tickets go on sale via phone and in person at the box office at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18. They will go on sale online shortly after that. Ticket prices include service fee.

The King of the Blues returns to The Maryland Theatre. King last performed at the theater in 1993.

Maryland Symphony Orchestra 2008-09 season

Tickets go on sale online only at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, and via phone or in person at the box office at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18. Ticket costs vary.

Upcoming shows include:

o Pops concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, featuring music from the 1930s. Tickets cost $12 to $83.

o The holiday concert with Hagerstown Choral Arts at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14. Tickets cost $12 to $22.

o MasterWorks V with the Hood College Choir at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 25, and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, includes Gustav Holst's "The Planets" with computer-generated animation of the solar system and John Williams' "Star Wars Theme." Individual MSO MasterWorks concerts cost $12 to $83.

There is a $3-per-ticket fee for advance tickets.
