CHARLES TOWN, W.VA. -- Think you have a radio voice?
Have you dreamed of giving the play-by-play?
JCS Television might have a gig for you.
JCS Television, Jefferson County Schools' television station where students help produce news and other programs, is scheduled to air 42 athletic events this fall from Jefferson High School and the new Washington High School and is looking for adult commentators for the games, said Robert Perks, who oversees the station.
Although commentator positions for the football games have been filled, Perks said he is looking for about a dozen commentators for soccer and volleyball games at the schools.
Perks said commentators could be former coaches who are familiar with terminology of the sports, and who could offer intelligent insight and talk about the history of the programs, although that will not be the case with Washington High School since it is a new facility, Perks said.
