Four people cited for eclipsing 90 mph

SCOTLAND, Pa. -- Four people were cited recently for driving more than 90 mph in a 55-mph zone in the area of Air Hill in Greene Township, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release:

  • Jasmine Knarr of Orrstown, Pa., was traveling 98 mph

  • Spencer Pyne of Newburg, Pa., was traveling 95 mph

  • Jonathan Wingert of Pleasant Hall, Pa., was traveling 114 mph

  • Christopher Allen of Orbisonia, Pa., was traveling 97 mph.

    Md., W.Va. men face drug charges

    FREDERICK, Md. -- Two men face drug charges and potential deportation after a traffic stop Monday night on U.S. 40, the Frederick County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.

    Jorge Luiz Orozco-Sandoval, 21, of Gaithersburg and Leobardo Cardenas-Galvez, 25, of Martinsburg, W.Va., were both charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine, and narcotics possession with intent, large amount, deputies said.

    Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed the men are in the United States illegally because they entered without inspection, deputies said.


The men were stopped for following another vehicle too closely at about 9 p.m. on westbound U.S. 40 at Hillcrest Drive, police said. A K-9 search of the vehicle revealed two bags of cocaine and a 1,101 gram "brick" of cocaine, police said.
