Immigration, gang violence to be discussed at Quad-State conference

Immigration and gang violence will be on the agenda at this year's Quad-State Legislative Conference in Winchester, Va.

Each year, lawmakers from Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia gather to discuss issues of mutual interest.

This year's conference will be Thursday at Millwood Station Special Event Center, 252 Costello Drive, Winchester.

Registration for the conference begins at 8:30 a.m.

The conference will start at 9 a.m.

Immigration and gang violence along the Interstate 81 corridor will be discussed at 10 a.m.

Economic development and tourism also will be on the agenda.

The featured speakers will be Marla Decker, a Virginia deputy attorney general, and Phillip Figura, a gang prosecutor and assistant attorney general, also in Virginia.
