Community fair with dunk tank

Wednesday, Aug. 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Elgin Station, Hagerstown. Three balls for $1. Participants have an opportunity to dunk Hagerstown Housing Authority staff. Executive Director Ted Shankle can be dunked from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Benefits REACH.

Sub sale

Yard sale

Chewsville Lions Club will sell country ham sandwiches for $3 and baked ham sandwiches for $2.50. Sandwiches will be sold both days. All yard sale proceeds benefit the community.

Dog wash and"flealess market"

Saturday, Aug. 16, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road., Hagerstown. Residents of Washington County will also have the opportunity to get their dogs, cats and ferrets inoculated against rabies and have their pets microchipped for a discounted price.
