Carl F. Rush, 71

GLENGARY, W.Va. - Carl F. Rush, 71, of Glengary, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born May 18, 1937, in Abington, Va., he was the son of the late Robert Rush and Alice Norris.

He was a former machine operator at Burch's Manufacturing Co.

He is survived by his wife, Ferne Holland Rush; three daughters, Deborah Irvin of Hedgesville, W.Va., Kathryn Mathias of Kearneysville, W.Va., and Christina Derosier of Winchester, Va.; one son, James Rush of Martinsburg; one sister, Willie A. Manoli of Glengary; two brothers, Tom Rush of Midwest City, Okla., and Onie Rush of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Rush and Lucille Rush; and one brother, Benjamin Rush.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Home in Martinsburg. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.

Carrie F. Scibilia, 97



NOV. 2, 1910-JULY 28, 2008

WILLIAMSPORT - Carrie F. Scibilia, 97, of Williamsport and formerly of Somerset, Pa., died Monday, July 28, 2008, at her home.

Born Nov. 2, 1910, in Summit Hill, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine Shliva Mika.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Scibilia, in 1989.

She was employed as a silk screen operator on circuit boards at Westinghouse in Edison, N.J.

She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin Catholic Church in New Brunswick, N.J.

She is survived by one son, John Scibliia of Williamsport; three grandchildren, Albert, Michael and Carrie; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, Aug. 1, at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Catholic Church in New Brunswick. Burial was in St. Peter Cemetery in New Brunswick.




Bonnie I. Faircloth, 70



SEPT. 9, 1937-AUG. 6, 2008

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Bonnie I. Everhart Faircloth, 70, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at the home of her son.

Born Sept. 9, 1937, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Richard Thomas Everhart and Mildred Pauline Richmond Everhart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin P. "Casey" Faircloth, in 2002.

She is survived by three sons, Melford T. Faircloth of Martinsburg, Terry L. Faircloth of Gerrardstown, W.Va., and Kevin W. Faircloth of Inwood, W.Va.; one brother, Thomas L. Everhart of Martinsburg; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy D. Bennett; and one grandchild.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. David Palmer and the Rev. David Lee Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

Alma M. Johnson, 80

SPRING RUN, Pa. - Alma McCartney Johnson, 80, of Amberson Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at Aprontree Personal Care Home.

Born Nov. 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Mary Stitt McCartney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Johnson, in 1996.

She retired from the Beistle Co. in Shippensburg, Pa., where she was employed for more than 35 years.

She was a member of Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church.

She was a member of Katherine Walker Circle, Farm Women Group 8, American Legion McCartney Post 232 Ladies Auxiliary and Amberson Homemakers.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church in Spring Run. The Rev. Meagan Boozer will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Byron Sichert. Burial will follow in Upper Path Valley Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Agett-Geisel Funeral Home and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Frankie E. Lydard Sr., 71



NOV. 24, 1936-AUG. 7, 2008

JEFFERSON, Md. - Frankie Eugene "Greek" Lydard Sr., 71, of Jefferson Pike, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 24, 1936, in Montgomery County, Md., he was the son of the late Thomas and Annie Nicholes Lydard.

He attended Poolsville area schools.

He was employed by Rockingham Electric Co.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a member of the Gaithersburg (Md.) Eagles Club.

He is survived by two daughters, Deborah S. Griffith of Boonsboro and Vickie L. Zawoysky of Middletown, Md.; one son, Frankie E. Lydard Jr. of Boonsboro; one sister, Janet Fitz of West Virginia; four grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

There will be no viewing.
