Three face drug charges after Hagerstown police raid hotel room

Three people were taken into custody on drug charges late Wednesday after Hagerstown Police officers raided a hotel room in the 1000 block of West Washington Street. 

Sgt. Jim Robison said officers executed a search warrant at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday at Room 9 of a hotel along East Place behind a business establishment in that block of West Washington Street.

 Detectives with the street crime unit responded because of complaints from residents and observations by police of excessive foot traffic in and out of the residence.  

Detectives found three people inside the residence Police said one of those people ran to the rear bathroom and threw approximately 50 capsules of heroin and some marijuana out the rear window. 


Police alleged that person also attempted to discard several capsules of heroin by flushing them down the toilet but was unsuccessful. 

Detectives said they also found a large amount of drug paraphernalia throughout the residence, along with more marijuana. 

Those charged include:

· Michelle Lee Boward, 26, of 1029 W. Washington St., Room 9, who was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Her bond was set at $15,000.

· Anthony Boward, 23, of 1029 W. Washington St., Room 9, was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of marijuana and heroin, maintaining a common nuisance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. 

His bond was $75,000.  

· Larry Lee Myers III, 24, of 115 Catawba Place, No. 5,  Hagerstown, was charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. 

Bond was set at $25,000.
