Town museum

The Town Museum, in the Springfield Farm Barn, 14 Springfield Lane, is open every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.

This Sunday, visit with Jane Smith, "Skip" and Kim Bowers.

Also, there will be an update on the progress on the Springfield Farm House - the new silver metal roof is on, back porch has been added and work is starting inside. The fruit trees, planted by the Potomac Garden Club, are growing and hopefully in a few years will produce fruit for pies and jams as part of the living history presentations planned for the farm house.

The Springfield Farm barn is scheduled for a thorough cleaning before the USO Canteen event in September. The committee showed "Rocky" Birely, of the Ray Birely Big Band, the stage and dance floor area. The group was impressed, and once cleaned, should be good for story telling, barn dancing and many special events.
